Warning: Under no circumstances is this hitch to be installed on vehicles with 6' box (regular cab).

Vehicles W/O Factory Step Bumper: Using the existing holes in the frame rails, bolt the reinforcement brackets into the inside
of each frame rail using the 9/16" X 1.50 hex bolts and 9/16" locknuts in the holes as shown. The reinforcement brackets
should rest tightly against the frame rail flanges.

Vehicles W/Factory Step Bumper: Remove and discard the rearmost bolt attaching each bumper bracket to the frame side
rails. Install the reinforcement brackets into the inside end of each frame rail using the 9/16" X 1.50 hex bolts and 9/16" locknuts
in the holes as shown. The reinforcement brackets should rest tightly against the frame rail flanges.

Center the receiver on the vehicle frame with notches in the hitch flanges positioned over the rivets in the frame.
Using the receiver as a template, drill three 9/16" holes into the bottom of each frame rail.

Install all the fasteners as shown, placing blocks inside the frame rails, with the wider sides of the blocks positioned inward,
away from the frame rails.
Note: It will not be necessary to relocate the factory spare tire underneath the box. If a larger than standard
tire is used as a spare, it may have to be relocated. On some models equipped with 16" spare tire, it will be
necessary to adjust spare tire cradle to retain under vehicle tire stowage after hitch is installed.
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to
prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working
beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
This product complies with safety specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5
and SAE J684.
