Remove existing
brackets both sides.
Return to owner.

Remove existing angle brackets, both sides, between truck frame rails and truck bumper brackets. Return to owner.
Save bolts as they will be reinstalled in Steps 2 & 3.

Raise hitch into position as shown and reinstall M14 bolts removed in Step 1through hitch and bumper bracket. Bolts must face
outwards as shown. Place 9/16" flat washers, lockwashers and M14 flanged hex nuts on these bolts on outside of truck bumper
bracket. Hand tight only.

Place a toothed conical washer over each M12 bolt removed in Step 1, and then reinstall M12 bolts through hitch and into
weldnuts in truck frame. Hand tight only.
Install M14-1.50 bolts supplied through 9/16" helical lockwashers and blocks. Install these through hitch and then through blocks

into frame weldnuts, typical (4) places. Hand tight only.

If existing electrical bracket on bottom of truck bumper contacts top of hitch tube, then bend up out of the way. It may be
necessary to cut bolts holding electrical bracket shorter so that bracket can be pushed up farther.
6.
Torque M12 bolts to specifications below first. Then torque M14 bolts in bumper brackets to specifications below next.
Torque M14 bolts forward on frame to specifications below last.
Torque all M12 fasteners with torque wrench to 130 lb.-Ft.(176 N*M)
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to
prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working
beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
This product complies with safety specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5
and SAE J684.
