6. How animation works
6. How animation works
Animation (moving pictures) you see on TV
shows move very smoothly. Still pictures that
have small differences, are switched very
quickly one by one. In quick succession, it
looks as if those pictures are moving to the
human eye.
This Anime projector shows just ten pictures.
However, the image would be
more smooth (just like a TV show), if it
projected thirty pictures per second
Light is applied to the front and a reflection
of the image is then magnified by a lens to
project an image. This is called a reflective
type of projector. These days, movies mainly
use color films, whereas in the golden age of
black-and-white movies they very expensive
to produce and the images needed
developing. That is why it is said that paper
films and the reflection type of colored movie
gained popularity.

8. How to play
8. How to play
Turn the LED light on and project it onto the
wall in a dark room.
When the image is in focus, slowly turn the
handle.
Move the light source box back and forth to
a distance of 60 to 70 cm away from the wall
to find the spot where the projected image
is clear and in focus. For smaller image
P10
projection, keep a shorter distance between
the wall and the projector.
9. Create your own animation!

squares and draw pictures on them.
Stick the drawings onto the drum from the
