5.- ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

WARNING
• The machine must be connected to the factory power supply by a qualified
electrician in compliance with EN 60204-1 standards.
• Check the efficiency of the earthing system of the power supply and of the
machine itself.
• The voltage of the power supply system must be the same as that indicated
on the identification plate: 230 or 400 V AC.
• The electrical power supply cable of the machine must be protected along its entire
length by a suitable cable duct. The electrician assigned to installation is responsible
for the correct dimensioning of the power supply cable. Check the installed power
rating indicated on the identification plate.
• The nominal short circuit current where the machine is installed must not be in excess
of 10 kA.
• Move the main switch to position "O".
• Ensure that the electrical line is not live.
• Use the tool provided to open the electrical panel and locate the main breaker L. The
power supply cables must be connected to the terminals of the breaker.
• Insert the power supply cable into the electrical panel through the cable clamp (fig.7-
M) provided.
• Connect the cables of the triple-phase power supply line, previously stripped. The
three phases L1 - L2 -L3 must be connected to the three terminals marked R - S -T on
the main breaker. Connect the earthing cable to terminal PE and the neutral cable to
terminal N if present.
• Close the electrical panel and tighten the cable clamp.

CHECKING PHASES
Before attempting to operate the machine, the correctness of triple-phases electrical
connections must be verified by checking the rotation direction of the blade motor as
follows.
This check is made by observing the rotation direction of the blade motor.
To prevent the risk of components being expelled from the machine, before
proceeding with this check remove the blade locknut, blade flanges and
protection hood. (fig. 8 A-B)
• Switch on the power supply system and switch on the machine by turning tha main
switch to pisiton "I", select manual operating mode and press the "MACHINE
START" button. (fig. 8 C)
• Press the blade "MOTOR START" button. (fig. 8 D)
• The motor shaft seen from a frontal position must rotate in a clockwise direction. If
it rotates in the other direction, switch to the O position an disconnecting the power
supply. Then open the electrical panel and exchange two of the three phase
connections on the main switch terminals. (fig. 8 E)
