CAUTION: Risk of short circuit! Before starting work, switch off the ignition. Assembly must
only be carried out by specialists.
• Install the K wiring harness in your vehicle and connect the cable to the vehicle and
ContiPressureCheck CCU according to the diagram. During installation, make sure that the
cable and connector are securely fixed in place. The diagnostic connector of the K wiring
EN
harness should be positioned in the vehicle so that it is easily accessible for subsequent
configuration of the Continental CCU.
• Connect the ContiConnect Bluetooth Dongle to the SAE J1962 interface of the K wiring harness
and fit the ContiConnect Bluetooth Dongle in the driver's cab. To ensure a good quality connection
to your Android device and to be able to monitor the
ContiConnect Bluetooth Dongle's connection via the LED, the SAE J1962 interface and dongle
should be installed in an easily accessible location within the driver's cab.
WARNING: To prevent a short circuit and corrosion, the ContiConnect Bluetooth Dongle and
diagnostic connector must be fitted in a dry place (e.g. in the driver's cab).
When choosing the installation location, it must be ensured that the distance from the
smartphone/tablet with which the dongle is being used is kept as small as possible and that the
location is clear of objects that may interfere with Bluetooth transmission. Further make sure,
that the ContiConnect Bluetooth Dongle is installed outside of a potential passenger-impact
zone in case of an accident.
The K wiring harness and ContiConnect Bluetooth Dongle should be installed and fixed in the
vehicle in such a way that they cannot be damaged by vehicle movements and vibrations.
Step 2: App installation on the smartphone/tablet
and pairing with the ContiConnect Bluetooth Dongle
To display the ContiPressureCheck data on your smartphone/tablet, the ContiConnect driver app
must be installed on your device, the device must be connected to the ContiConnect Bluetooth
Dongle (one-off connection) and a data connection to the app must exist (LED is permanently lit
blue).
Installation
1. Log in to the app store.
2. Search for the ContiConnect driver app in the app store.
3. Install the ContiConnect driver app.
4. Accept the terms of use and data protection terms and conditions.
On certain devices (e.g. telematic systems), it may be that the app can only be installed by your
administrator or fleet manager.
Connection
1. Make sure that the ContiConnect Bluetooth Dongle has been installed correctly, and start the
power supply to the ContiConnect Bluetooth Dongle by switching on the ignition.
2. Check that the red LED on the ContiConnect Bluetooth Dongle is flashing slowly (2 Hz)
(connection mode). If this is not the case, switch the ignition off and on again. Once there is a
power supply to the ContiConnect Bluetooth Dongle, it will remain in connection mode for
1 minute. If no connection takes place within this minute, switch the ignition off and on again
to switch the ContiConnect Bluetooth Dongle to connection mode again.
3. Activate the Bluetooth interface on your smartphone/tablet (Settings/Connections/Bluetooth),
and search for Bluetooth devices.

4. Select the device "OBD2-<<MAC address>>" from the list shown and establish a connection.
Before transferring the ContiPressureCheck data to the ContiConnect Driver App, you must
connect the ContiConnect Bluetooth Dongle to the existing ContiPressureCheck system as
follows. If a verification number is displayed, confirm it.
5. Open the ContiConnect driver app.
6. Once the dongle is successfully connected and a connection has been established through
the app, the blue LED will stay on permanently. This may take up to two minutes.
Another connection is only necessary if you wish to use another ContiConnect Bluetooth Dongle
with your smartphone/tablet, you wish to use a new smartphone/tablet with the existing dongle, the
ContiConnect driver app has been reinstalled or the connection was not successfully established.

with the dongle and the ContiPressureCheck system and show the vehicle diagram with the
current data.
2. If multiple connected, active ContiConnect Bluetooth Dongles are located within range of your
smartphone/tablet, select your preferred dongle manually using "Select Device." This selection
is saved.
IMPORTANT: Check at regular intervals that the tire information is shown in the app to ensure
that a data connection exists and that the system is functioning reliably on your
Android device.
