Safety and operating instructions
to be used. However, it is no disadvantage if the
compressed air contains a small quantity of oil
e.g. supplied from a fog lubricator (DIM) or Dosol
system. This does not apply to turbine tools, which
should be kept oil free.
Compressed air connection
• The machine is designed for a working pressure
of 6–7 bar = 600–700 kPa = 87–102 psi.
• Blow out the hose before connecting.
Handling
Handling
In order to gain optimal life on the sanding belt the
grinding process should be carried out in such a way
that the belt is supported by the guide (32). Also see
below "Replacement of sanding belt" item 6 concern-
ing rotation direction for the belt.
By loosening the screw (31) the angle between
sanding belt mechanism and the housing (1) could
be adjusted as well as the support (39) could be set
to three longitudinal and two in height different pos-
itions. All to fit the process and the operator in the
best way.
In the housing (1), just below the vane motor, there
are two holes drilled. The exhaust air escaping from
those holes will protect the operator by blowing the
grinding dust away from him.
Also the apron (27) has the function to protect the
operator. Therefore, replace the apron when it be-
comes damaged.
Replacement of sanding belt (20 mm L=520 mm):
) If the tool is connected to the air supply it should
1
be disconnected.
) Grip the handle of the housing (1). Push in the
2
pulley (40) until the stopper (28) locks.
) Open the latch (46) and let up the lid (44).
3
) Pull out the sanding belt.
4
) Check the pulley (40) that it runs smoothly and
5
that the guide (32) is undamaged, correct adjusted
and properly fixed.
) Assemble a new sanding belt. Hereby check that
6
the direction of rotation on the inside of the belt
corresponds to the tool's direction.
) Let down the lid (44) and close the latch (46).
7
) Slightly push the rear part of the stopper (28) so
8
it unlocks and the pulley (40) stretches the belt.
) Connect the tool to the air net and idle shortly. If
9
the belt starts to run off the pulley (40), adjust the
screw (47) at the pulley.

Maintenance
Rust protection and internal cleaning
Water in the compressed air, dust and wear particles
cause rust and sticking of vanes, valves etc.
This can be solved by flushing with oil (some
drops), running the machine for 5-10 seconds and
absorbing the oil in a cloth. Make it before longer
standstills.
Overhaul and lubrication
The machine is normally used as a heavy-duty tool.
It should therefore, be dismantled, overhauled and
cleaned after roughly 500 hours of operation, but at
least once every six months. If the machine is not
running properly, it should be taken out of service
for inspection.
Use lubricants of good quality. The air motor oil
and greases mentioned in the chart are examples of
lubricants which are recommended.
After overhaul always check the idling speed
of the machine.
