Instructions
Disassembling the motor unit:
) Disassemble the sanding belt according to instructions "Replacement of sanding belt"

item 1-5 above.
) Keep firm hold of the drive pulley (22). Use a Ø 4 mm pin entered in the radial hole in

the pulley. Use the cover (26) to support the pin.
) Unscrew the nut (24). Use a 13 mm socket. Pull off the pulley.

) Remove the complete belt mechanism by loosening the screw (31), remove the pulley
4
(22) by knocking on the rear side of the cover. Knock in two laterally opposed positions.
) Knock out the pin (19) from the rotor shaft.

) Unscrew the nut (12) with a hook wrench suitable for Ø 43 mm.

) Push out the motor unit from the housing (1).

) Pull off the end plate (15). Use a puller attached to the groove in the cylinder (16). Press

against the shaft on rotor (17).
) Lift away the cylinder (16). Note: The end of the cylinder that has the small pin (25)
9
must face the end plate (15) at the assembly.
) Remove the vanes (18) from rotor (17).

) Pull off the end plate (20). Use a puller attached to the groove in the cylinder (16). Press

against the shaft on rotor (17).
) Knock out the bearings (21) and (14) from the end plates. Use a mandrel Øex 34,5/ Øin

30,5 mm.
Assembling the motor unit:
Prior to the assembly all the parts should be checked regarding wear and damage, if
required replaced. Furthermore, not replaced parts should be thoroughly cleaned.
) Slightly grease the bearing recess in the end plate (15) and also the bearing (14). Use a

mandrel Øex 18,5/ Øin 12,5 mm at the assembly of the two parts.
) Slightly grease the bearing recess in the end plate (20) and assemble the sealed bearing

(21). ). Use a mandrel Øex 25,5/ Øin 20,5 mm at the assembly of the two parts.
) Slightly grease the bearing surface at the end of the rotor (17) and assemble the end

plate (20) to the rotor. Use a mandrel Øex 15,5/ Øin 10,5 mm at the assembly.Note:
Check that there is a play between end plate and rotor end of 0,01-0,02 mm after
assembly.
) Slightly lubricate the vanes (18) with oil and assemble in the rotor.

) Slightly lubricate internally the cylinder (16) with oil and assemble to the rotor. Note

the orientation of the cylinder. The end of the cylinder that has the little pin (25) must
face the end plate (15) at the assembly.
) Slightly grease the bearing surface at the end of the rotor and assemble the end plate

(15). Support the motor unit on a mandrel having internal diameter 8,2 mm. Use a
mandrel Øex 10/ Øin 6,5 mm to knock in the end plate. When the assembling is correctly
