Powerbox type CP-FB-TBOX-SUBD9 is designed for coupling
CP branch lines to CAN networks as laid down in regulations,
the branch lines consisting of CP valve terminals and, where
necessary, CP I/O modules. The Powerbox is designed for CAN
networks having a pin assignment conforming to the CANopen
standard. Coupling of CP branch lines is only possible with
CAN masters that support the CP protocol to the Festo specifi-
cations. These include:
–
Festo IPC with CAN Bus Module CP81
–
Jetter Process PLC.
The number of Powerboxes allowed for one CAN network and
the maximum branch line length permitted depends on the
fieldbus protocol and the fieldbus baud rate.
WARNING:
Incorrect installation can cause interference in operation.
Check the following in your CAN Master handbook:
- the max. number of branch lines for your
CAN network
- the max. number of CP modules allowed per branch line
and for the network
- the max. branch line length allowed.
Before installation:
WARNING:
Switch off the following power sources before commencing
installation and maintenance work:
- compressed air supply
- operating and load voltage supplies.
