Stop #1 is now indexed at zero point with blade,
and needs no further adjustment for this saw and
blade combination.

9.5 Tenon selection

1.
Loosen fence lock knob, and slide fence
forward out of the way.
2.
Place chisel you are using for your mortise
against stop #1. Slide stop #2 against chisel
with gentle pressure, as shown in Figure 11.
Note: Some mortise chisels may have an
undercut on the shaft. Position chisel so that
stops are contacting its true width.
3.
Tighten stop #2 locking lever firmly. Remove
chisel – you should feel slight but not excessive
resistance, indicating stop #2 has been set
correctly.
If you use the same chisel for future cuts with
this saw and blade combination, stop #2 will
require no further adjustment.

4.
Press face of workpiece against stop #2, and
bring fence handle against workpiece, as
shown in Figure 11.
Note: Workpiece must be properly cut and
jointed beforehand; irregularities in workpiece
will cause inaccuracy in tenon cut.)
5.
Tighten fence lock knob securely, and remove
workpiece (there should be slight but not
excessive resistance).
The jig is now ready for cutting operations.

10.0 Operation

Use of the tenoning jig requires
removal of tablesaw blade guard. When jig
operation is complete, disconnect saw from
power source and reinstall blade guard.

10.1 General operating procedure

Following are the general steps for operating the
tenoning jig. It is recommended that test cuts be
made first to verify settings.
1.
Set work stop to desired angle.
2.
Adjust saw blade to desired height of tenon.
3.
Place workpiece flush against work stop and
fence.
4.
Slide clamp into position along fence channel,
and tighten locking lever. Press toggle plates to
slide rear clamp jaw along bar, and rotate screw
to
