8.4 Installing clamp
Loosen clamp locking lever and install clamp
assembly by inserting T-nut into fence channel
(Figure 6).
The clamp locking lever is position-adjustable; pull
out on the lever and rotate it, then release, allowing
lever to resettle on the pin.

9.0 Setup
Table saw must be discon-
nected from power source during all jig setup
procedures.
The following procedure customizes the jig to your
exact table saw and blade combination. Once
performed, this procedure need not be repeated for
that particular combination.
Setup procedure should be performed any time the
jig is transferred to a new table saw, or if a blade of
different thickness is installed so as to alter distance
between miter slot and left side of blade.
Time spent with careful initial setup will reward
the operator with fast and accurate tenon cuts.

9.2 Table saw settings verification
IMPORTANT: To ensure accuracy of the tenoning
jig, the operator must establish the following items
on the table saw:
•
Miter slot is parallel to saw blade.
•
Saw blade runs true; no wobble or
noticeable runout.
•
Saw blade 90-degree position is accurate.
Consult the documentation provided with the table
saw to verify and/or make corrections to any of the
above.
9.3 Work stop alignment
1.
Place jig on table saw by inserting guide bar into
left miter slot. If jig will not enter slot smoothly,
turn jig upside down, and slightly loosen center
screw (see A, Figure 3). Also, slightly loosen
screws on guide bar washers (H, Figure 3).
2.
Verify 90-degree position of work stop – loosen
angle lock knob (E, Figure 7) and place a
square on table top and against work stop.
Check setting on angle indicator (F, Figure 7).
3.
If adjustment is needed, loosen scale adjust
screw (G, Figure 7) and slide scale until zero
mark aligns with indicator line. Retighten scale
adjust screw (G), while being careful to maintain
position.

9.4 Parallelism and zero reference
1.
Remove saw blade guard.
2.
Place jig on table saw by inserting guide bar into
left miter slot. If jig will not enter slot smoothly,
turn jig upside down, and slightly loosen center
screw (A, Figure 3). Also, slightly loosen screws
on guide bar washers (H, Figure 3).
