Use of the Web server
Incorrect counting of Web connections with ports other than 80
After the configuration is downloaded to the CPU, HTTP Port 81 is entered in the CPU by default during access via the
Windows Ethernet interface.
Web communication via port 81 is not counted. The web links are listed under "Other communication".
Maximum number of connections exceeded.
Make sure that the following connections are reserved by default for the number of your connections:
● 4 connections via ES communication
● 4 connections via HMI communication
● 2 connections via web communication
These ten reservations are not taken into account when connections listed under "Other connections" are established. The
maximum number of possible connections of the CPU may therefore become exhausted. ES, HMI or web connections are
no longer possible.
Japanese language selection for the web server
Japanese is not available as an interface language for the Web server, although you can select the language.
Use in STEP 7
Number of TIA Portal instances used on a PC
When using CPU 1505S with the PC station, you are permitted to use only one instance of the TIA Portal per PC.
The PC station can establish only one TIA Portal connection. If you use more than one instance, the PC station cannot
distinguish the instances and will report incorrect diagnostics data, for example.
Adding CPU 1505S to the device view
You can select the CPU 1505S only as configuration (Open Controller) in the hardware catalog.
Procedure
To add CPU 1505S as a new device in STEP 7, follow these steps:
1. Start STEP 7.
2. Open your project.
3. Select in the "Device" command in the "Edit" menu.
4. Click "PC systems".
5. Select the entry "SIMATIC S7 Open Controller > ET 200SP Open Controller".
6. Select the desired configuration, for example, "CPU 1515SP PC".
7. Click "OK" to add the selected device.
Result
The "CPU 1515SP PC" PC system is created. A CPU 1505S is preinstalled.
Adding CPU in index 1 to the device view
When you add the CPU to the device view in STEP 7, make sure that you always create the CPU in index 1. Always leave
the CPU in index 1.
