3. Software update
The operating software for the channel unit can be updated locally. A Kathrein service tool is available for this. The update program and
the latest f rmware for the module can be ordered for downloading from the homepage of the Kathrein Service Centre ESC
(Elektronik Service Chiemgau GmbH) at "http://www.esc-kathrein.de".
For connecting the PC/laptop to the Kathrein device you need a device-specif c adapter cable (BN 700K002), which can be ordered from
our service centre ESC GmbH or from your Kathrein sales centre or the respective agent for your country.
Important: Software can be updated during reception of channels. The channel currently being received will be
interrupted while the update is in progress.
If the power supply is lost during the update, this does not cause any permanent damage to the module.
The update simply must be repeated.
Electronic equipment is not domestic waste - in accordance with directive 2002/96/EC OF THE EUROPEAN
PARLIAMENT AND THE COUNCIL dated 27
it must be disposed of properly.
At the end of its service life, take this device for disposal at a designated public collection point.
