Drawbar must be used in
the RISE position only.
1.
Remove lower fascia (plastic portion) - use T10 torxbit socket to remove (2) plastic screws and (2) tabs from bottom lower fascia. Use plastic trim tools or flat head screwdriver to
unclip all tabs behind lower fascia. Remove the lower fascia.
2.
Lower exhaust hanger - use 13 mm socket to remove (1) bolt from exhaust hanger bracket each side and lower the muffler temporarily. Use a support or bungee cord to keep
muffler from getting damaged.
3.
Remove lower bumper bolts - use 13 mm socket to remove (4) M8 factory bolts from lower portion of bumper beam. Return to vehicle owner.

Install hitch - (a) Using the reverse fishwire method, feed the carriage bolt ① and spacer ② through slots on bottom of frame rails, as shown in Figure 2. Leave pull wires attached.
(b) Tape (4) 1 /4 '' spacers ⑥ on forward side of hitch brackets and align hole in spacer with slot in hitch, as shown in Figure 1. (c) Raise hitch into position, over the exhaust, and
feed the pull wires previously installed through holes in hitch. (d) Remove pull wires and loosely install 1/2''conical washer ③ and hex nut ④ to carriage bolt. Bend the edge of
heat shield if needed. (e) Loosely install (4) M8 bolts ⑤ and (4) 3/8'' conical washers ⑦ into existing lower bumper mounting weldnuts, see Figure 1.

Tighten all M8 CL8.8 fasteners with torque wrench to 20 Lb.-Ft. (27 N*M) and all 1/2 GR5 fasteners to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N*M)
6.
Trim lower fascia - locate the center of bottom fascia and trim a 2.5'' tall and 3.0'' wide area, see Figure 3.
7.
Reinstall the exhaust hangers, fasteners, and lower fascia removed in Step 1, 2.
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which
has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. This product complies with safety
specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5 and SAE J684.
