User Instructions ArcSafe Harness P/N 10067345 ATTACHMENT ELEMENTS (D-RINGS) 3.1.1 FALL ARREST ATTACHMENT (QTY 1) For fall arrest. Use only the back fabric D-ring (sewn Kevlar loop) for connection to the other elements of a personal fall arrest system. The back D-ring may also be used as an attachment element for travel restriction. - Página 4 PURPOSE The ArcSafe Harness (full body) is primarily a component of a personal fall arrest system. It may also be used for positioning and travel restriction when the appropriate attachments are present. The harness straps are arranged to contain the torso and distribute the forces of fall arrest to the thighs, chest and shoulders of the wearer.

4.2.1 PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS The ArcSafe Harness is designed for use by one person with a combined total weight no greater than 400 pounds (181kg), including clothing, tools, and other user-borne objects for XSM, STD, XLG, and SXL sizes. Persons with muscular, skeletal, or other physical disorders should consult a physician before using the harness. -

La acumulación excesiva de mugre, pintura u otras impurezas podría impedir el funcionamiento adecuado del arnés ArcSafe y, en casos extremos, podría debilitar la trama del material del arnés.
- Página 8 Equipment which is damaged or in need of maintenance must be tagged as “UNUSABLE” and removed from service. Corrective maintenance (other than cleaning) and repair, such as replacement of elements, must be performed by the MSA factory. Do not attempt field repairs. For harnesses that have Secure-Fit buckles, a light penetrating oil can be applied to the locking tabs to ensure smooth operation.

- Página 14 User Instructions ArcSafe Harness P/N 10067345 STEP 5: Connect thigh straps: 5A: For Qwik-Fit: Pass Quick-Fit buckle through retaining buckle by turning it at an angle, passing completely through opening. Make sure Quick-Fit buckle is correctly seated in receiving buckle. Pull the thigh strap through the Quick-Fit buckle and tighten the strap until its snug but comfortable. Repeat this process for the other thigh. To complete adjustment of thigh strap, secure the ends of each strap with the thigh strap collars.

Página 16: Inspection Frequency
INSPECTION FREQUENCY The ArcSafe Harness must be inspected by the user before each use. Additionally, the harness must be inspected by a competent person other than the user at intervals of no more than six months. The competent person inspection is referred to as Formal Inspection. An inspection log must be filled out during the Formal Inspection, see section 11.0. In addition, the inspection log on the harness label must be marked or punched to indicate when the last Formal Inspection occurred. -
Página 17: Corrective Action
Defects, damage, excessive wear and/or aging are generally not repairable. If detected, immediately remove the harness from use and mark it as “UNUSABLE” until destroyed. For final disposition, submit the harness to a competent person who is authorized to perform a Formal Inspection. If there is any question as to repairability, contact MSA or a service center authorized in writing by MSA before further use of the harness. -
