The appliance may only be
used by persons familiar with
the content of these operating
instructions.
Persons under the influence of
alcohol or medication and children
may only use the appliance under
supervision.
PROTECTION OF CHILDREN
Never allow children near the
electrical appliance unless they
are supervised.
ELECTRIC SHOCKS (7)
Be careful never to touch live
components. Electric shocks can
cause serious or even fatal injury.
For this reason, the electrical ap-
pliance may only be connected to
a properly installed power socket
with a mains voltage correspond-
ing to the technical data for the
device (see type plate on the ap-
pliance and the section Technical
data in the instructions for use).
MAINS CABLE (1, 2, 5, 8)
A damaged mains cable must be
replaced by the repair service,
as special tools are required. Do
not pinch the mains cable, and
protect it against contact with hot
objects. Pull the mains plug out
of the socket if you are not using
the appliance for some time, if
malfunctions occur and before
cleaning it. Never pull on the cable
to pull the mains plug or pull the
plug with wet hands.
LOCATION (2, 3, 9)
Place the appliance on a level,
stable and heat-resistant surface

and make sure that it is dry and
out of the reach of children.
Choose a location where heat can
escape freely and where there is
adequate ventilation. Never leave
the mains cable hanging down.
Someone could pull the appliance
down and injure themselves. Do
not use the appliance outdoors
and keep it away from
sources of heat and naked flames.
Exercise particular caution when
moving the electrical appliance.
RISK OF FIRE AND INJURY (10)
Never connect the appliance to
the mains until it is fully assem-
bled. Do not hang cloths etc. over
the appliance to dry.

Only touch or hold the hot fondue
by the handles on the side (b) of
the base of the device (c).

CLEANING AND MAINTE-
NANCE (3, 4, 8)
Switch the appliance off, pull
the mains plug and leave the
appliance to cool down before
commencing cleaning. Remove
the fondue-set pot (l) from the
base (c) and pour off the stock
or used oil/fat. Used cooking
oils and greases are not waste
water and should not be poured
down the drain. To protect the
environment, dispose of them with
your household waste. Then clean
the fondue-set pot (l) using water
and standard washing-up liquid
and dry it. Do not use steel wool,
wire brushes or abrasive cleaning
agents!
Caution: Never immerse the elec-
trical appliance in water and never
hold it under running water.
Fat ignites spontaneously at high
temperatures. Never pour water
into the hot fat.
REPAIR (6, 8)
Pull the mains plug out of the
socket immediately if you suspect
a technical defect.
Take the appliance to your nearest
repair shop and have it checked.
The manufacturer accepts no
liability for damage as a result of
incorrect handling of the appli-
ance.
Caution: Tampering with the ap-
pliance can lead to serious danger
for the user.
