13.2.3 Setting the speed
Use low speeds for:

Rough roughing of the workpiece

large workpieces to avoid high centrifugal forces
Use high speed for:

Waxing, grinding or boring
The smaller and more centric the workpiece, the higher the speed can be.
General operating instructions

Place the tool on the palm rest and start machining the workpiece.

Pay attention to the machining result, the machine, the speed etc.

Switch off the machine.
-
Wait until the workpiece has stopped rotating.
Modify the speed, tool selection, hand rest position etc., if necessary.

13.2.4 Moving the tailstock

The speed controller can be set to one of ten preset speed
ranges.
To adjust, first pull the controller (1) towards you and then
move it to the desired position on the locking plate (2).

Before switching off, reset the controller to the lowest speed,
otherwise the engine cannot start or may even be damaged!
After releasing the locking lever (2), the tailstock can be
moved to the desired position on the bed. The tailstock is
fixed by tightening the locking lever.
The spindle can extend up to 6.35 cm out of the tailstock
housing. You can move the tailstock spindle (3) by releasing
the spindle locking lever (4) and then turning the handwheel
(5).
The spindle locking lever (4) and locking lever (2) must be
locked again before operating the lathe!
