Filling the water heater

a
ATTENTION
Do not connect the water
heater to a power supply before
it is full as this could damage
the heating element.
– Open the shut-off valve to allow water
to enter the water heater.
– Open a hot water tap (bath, sink, etc.)
to allow the air within the water heater
and the system to be released. The
water heater will be full when the hot
water tap opened stops releasing air
and starts releasing water.
– Check that there are no water leaks
from any of the system's connections.
m
WARNING
Only after these steps may it be
connected to a power supply.
m
WARNING
In case of water with hardness
> 20º TH (where 1ºTH = French
degree = 10 mg CaCo3 / l), a
water softener must be installed
to reduce fouling inside the
water heater and preserve the
efficiency of the electric heating
element and the water safety
unit.

Connecting to a power
supply
Make sure that the mains' power
matches that indicated on the appliance
and that the system is compatible with
the wattage of the electric water heater's
heating element.
A double-pole switch must be used in
accordance with EN standards (contact
open at least 3 mm and preferably with
46
fuses) to disconnect the appliance from
the power supply. The connection must
be made by removing the electrical
protection cap and inserting the brown
and blue cables in the terminals of the
thermostat L (L1 and L2).
The water heater must also be earthed
using the yellow/green cable as shown
in the following electrical wiring diagram
(Fig. 7).
