Check Tire Pressure
Tires are over-infl ated for shipping purposes. The tires must be set at
the correct pressures for optimum traction and best cut.
Note: These pressures may diff er slightly from the "Maximum Infl ation"
stamped on the side walls of the tires.
See illustration.

Check Oil Level
Engine is shipped with oil, however, oil should be checked
prior to use. See illustration below. Park tractor on a level surface.
Note: See Operator's Manual if oil is needed.

Charge Battery
BATTERY SAFETY RULES
CHARGING THE BATTERY
1. Remove the ignition key.
2. Always attach the POSITIVE (+) charger clamp to the (+) terminal of the
battery fi rst.
3. Attach the NEGATIVE (‫ )ـ‬charger clamp to the (‫ )ـ‬terminal of the
battery last.
4. Charge battery according to the instructions provided by the charger
manufacturer. Do not charge at a rate higher than 10 amps.
5. When charging is complete, connect the NEGATIVE (‫ )ـ‬battery cables.
6. Coat the cable ends and the battery terminals with Briggs & Stratton
Battery Terminal Protector (Part Number 100068) or equivalent.
