Introduction
CAUTION: Moving mechanical components!
The samples to be measured are positioned by means of a fast XYZ sample changer system. In order
to prevent personal damage, all motions are stopped at once in case the sample magazine cover is
opened.
If it seems that the safety system does not work correctly you must switch off the system immediately
and contact your local Bruker AXS Service Organisation.
Manipulations and modifications of the cover control are strictly forbidden!
CAUTION: Oil!
The vacuum pump uses oil as a lubricant. Disposal of oil must comply with all applicable national
regulations.
CAUTION: Batteries!
Some of the electronic boards are equipped with batteries. Disposal of batteries must comply with all
applicable national regulations.
Do not touch the radiation outlet window of X-ray tubes or the front window of scintillation detectors as
both windows contain Beryllium.
Fumes or the dust from Beryllium and its compounds can be hazardous if inhaled! During use, corro-
sion of Beryllium may occur. Beryllium must not be cut, machined or handled in any way.
Disposal of Beryllium must comply with all applicable national regulations.
