Protection Against Radiation
The Spectrometer S4 PIONEER is an analytical instrument with a strong X-ray source. Shielding and
safety equipment guarantee that the emitted radiation does not exceed 7.5 μSv/h during operation.
DANGER
Local regulations for the operation of X-ray systems must be observed strictly!
If it seems that the safety system does not work correctly or the radiation protection is impaired by any
reason you must switch off the system immediately and contact your local Bruker AXS Service Or-
ganization.
Manipulations and modifications of the safety system are strictly forbidden!
DANGER
The direct beam of the internal X-ray source is very intense. Exposure to radiation for even a fraction
of a second can cause severe burns. Longer exposure can cause severe or even lethal injury. Strictly
adhere to the radiation regulations!
