Charging the battery
For more information about charging the battery,
refer to the separate instructions for the battery
and the charger.
Inserting the battery
1. Push the battery along the guide until the con-
tact socket on the battery is firmly located on
the contact plug of the machine (4).
Removing the battery
1. Press the lock (5-1).
2. Pull the battery out of the machine (5-2).
Adjusting the telescopic handle
1. To release, turn the lower guide sleeve to the
right (6-1).
2. Set the telescopic handle to the individual
physique. The telescopic handle can be ex-
tended by approx. 10 cm (6-2).
3. To attach, turn the lower guide sleeve to the
left (6-3).
Swivelling the cutter head
To trim lawn edges, for example, it is possible to
swivel the cutter head through 180° (7, 8).
1. Pull the telescopic handle up slightly (7-1).
2. At the same time, turn the cutting head
through 180° until the cutting head engages
(7-2).
3. Allow the telescopic handle to engage at the
bottom (7-1).
Angling the cutter head
By changing the pivot angle, it is also possible to
trim areas that are difficult to access, e.g. under
benches, overhangs, etc.
1. Press the locking button (9-1).
2. Engage the cutter head in the required angle
(9-2).
3. Release the locking button.

Remove the guard on the line cutter be-
fore taking into operation for the first
time.
OPERATION
Starting the lawn trimmer
1. Stand securely.
2. Hold the machine with both hands. Do not
place the cutter head on the ground when do-
ing this.
3. Hold the auxiliary handle in one hand and the
upper grip with your other hand.
4. Press the safety switch.
5. Press the switch in the upper grip and hold it
pressed. The machine runs.
6. Let the lawn trimmer run at idling speed for a
few moments. This causes the cutting line to
be cut off to the correct length.
7. The machine switches off when the switch is
released.
ADVICE
After the machine has been switched off,
the spool head continues to rotate for a
few seconds.
Working instructions
Switch on the machine before approaching
the grass to be cut.
Angle the machine forwards slightly, and walk
forwards slowly (11).
Sweep the machine to the right and left in or-
der to cut the grass (11).
Long grass must be cut in several passes. Always
proceed from top (12-1, 12-2) to bottom.
ADVICE
Tap the spool head on the ground from
time to time when working. The automa-
tic tip function always keeps the line at
optimum length. (13)
Use the plant protection car in order to hold
the machine at the correct distance from obst-
acles (14).
Do not overload the machine during work.
Make sure the motor is stopped before you
remove any cuttings.
