Loosen screws 12 and move the fence in such a man-
ner that a vertical position to the saw is adjusted.
Setting the Maximum Cutting Depth
(figure 2)
The adjustable screw 13 is used as the stop screw for
the cutting depth. When the saw blade is replaced or
reground, this screw needs to be readjusted.
After the bottom stop is adjusted, check that the saw
blade has no contact with the bottom of the rotating
saw table.
Replace the cover of the base 39 when damaged or
torn.
Adjusting the Riving Knife
(figures 7 + 9)
Unscrew the screws 15 and remove the cover 14.
Loosen the riving knife 16. Adjust the riving knife 16
and then tighten again. Afterwards, remount the cover
14.
The clearance between the teeth of the saw blade and
the riving knife may never exceed 5 mm.
Use only saw blades with bodies thinner than the riving
knife, yet with teeth (kerf) that are thicker than the thick-
ness of the riving knife.
Adjustment of the Upper Stop
(figure 2)
Loosen screw 17 and make sure that the machine
engages in the resting position.
Laser Guidance (figures 18 + 22)
Have the laser beam coincide with the drawn cutting
line.
The laser guidance is equipped with an inertia switch.
It can therefore only be activated when the saw blade
rotates.
The laser guidance is switched on/off via switch 18. In
order to saw with the upper table, the switch must be
set to the off position.
Switching On and Off (figure 8)
Switches
The machine is equipped with an On/Off switch and a
lock button for working with the upper table.
For chop sawing, actuate both the On/Off switch 20
and the release switch for chop sawing 19 at the same
time. When the pressure on the release switch for chop
sawing 19 is relieved, the machine switches off auto-
matically.
When working on the upper table, press the lock but-
ton 21 and actuate the On/Off switch 20. The button
disengages automatically when the machine is set to
the chopping position.
Mechanical Protection Devices
In the resting position, the protection devices (guards)
completely cover off the saw blade, and the machine
is blocked. Actuate the switch for chop sawing 19 to
disengage the blocking before plunging or chop saw-
ing.
Check that the saw blade is completely
covered by the protection devices
(guards) in the resting position. Make
sure that the protection devices (guards)
are always in good working condition.
Protection against accidental starting after a
power failure
After a power failure, unintentional starting of the
machine is prevented. To restart the machine, press the
On/Off switch 20.
Protection against short circuits
The machine's electric circuit includes a fuse 22 for pro-
tection against short circuits and overload. To replace
the fuse, unscrew the fuse holder, remove the blown
fuse and replace it with an identical one (5x20 10A
Class T).
Operation
Sawing at 0°x 0°
Proceed according to instructions (figure 18) when per-
forming the cut with laser guidance. To simplify the cut-
ting, the wooden stop/fence is equipped with a
millimetre scale 23. The scale marks the length of the
cut projecting end.
Sawing at 0°x 45°
Loosen the tilting-head lock 9 and tilt the head to the
45° stop or any other desired angle in between using
the angle indicator 24. Retighten the tilting-head lock
9 in the selected position.
