Intended Use
The unit is intended for projecting and checking pre-
cise horizontal planes, vertical lines, alignment lines
and plumb points.
The user is responsible for damage caused by usage
other then intended.
Protection of the Unit
J Avoid heavy shocks or falls. After heavy exterior
influences on the unit, always perform a precision
check before continuing work (see Section Level-
ling Accuracy).
J Do not immerse the unit in water.
J Do not expose the unit to extreme temperatures
and temperature variations (e. g., do not leave in
vehicles).
J If the unit is not used for a long period, the batter-
ies must be removed (danger of self-discharge
and corrosion).

For switching on, press the On/Off button 6. The in-
dicators 5, 3 and 10 light up for 2 seconds. The
tool immediately starts the automatic levelling (see
Automatic Levelling). The tool is levelled when the la-
ser beam lights up and the levelling indicator 3 lights
up continuously. The laser starts in the last run ope-
rating mode. The levelling indicator 3 lights up con-
tinuously for 5 minutes, and then flashes 1 time eve-
ry 4 seconds.
The operating mode can already be specified during
levelling with the operating mode buttons or with the
direction buttons (see Using the Operating Modes).
For this, use the remote control so that the tool does
not interrupt the levelling.
To switch off, press the On/Off button 6.
