Operating instructions for tapping machine.
Overview.
1 Jaw chuck

The tapping machine is supplied without
a clamping chuck. For accessory recom-
mendations, please see the respective sec-
tion in these operating instructions.

Intended use.
This power tool is intended for:
commercial use in industry and trade,
for cutting threads in through-holes and
blind holes.

Risk of injury
Only allow the power tool to contact the
work piece when it is switched off.
Do not rivet or screw any name-plates or
signs onto the power tool. The protective
insulation can thereby be rendered inef-
fective. Adhesive labels are recom-
mended.
Only use an undamaged plug and cable.

Mains voltage must correspond with the
voltage specifications on the power tool.
Personal protective equipment.
When using this power tool wear the
following protective items:
Protective glasses, sturdy shoes, ear
protection, hair net (for long hair).
Operating the power tool.
The power tool has a change gear with
2 speeds: a slower speed for cutting the
thread and a faster speed for withdrawing
the tool from the work piece.
At no-load the tool turns anti-clockwise.
The gear rotation switching for reversing
to the clockwise direction is effected
automatically by pressing contact, or to
the anti-clockwise direction by withdraw-
ing the tool from the work piece.
The power tool can be fitted with a bit
stop (3). It serves for setting the tapping
depth when cutting threads in blind holes.
