4. Notes on these Operating Instructions
Please carefully read the operat-
GB
ing instructions and adhere to the
general and safety instructions
enclosed therein. Use this operat-
ing manual and the safety instruc-
tions in order to familiarise yourself
with the implement, the adjusting
parts and the correct use.

5. Proper Use

The Brill lawn aerator is designed
for working on lawns and grass-
land in private house and hobby
gardens and is not designed for
industrial use in public green
spaces, parks, sporting locations,
alongside roads and in the agricul-
tural and forestry sectors.

7. Putting into operation

Before use, always carry out a visu-
al inspection in order to determine
whether the cutting tools, fixing
bolts and the complete cutting unit
are worn or damaged. A worn or
damaged cutting tool should
always be replaced in order to
avoid an imbalance.

Only aerate during daylight or
with good artificial lighting. The
use on wet grass is to be avoided
where possible. Always ensure that
the implement is well and securely
positioned on inclines.

Local regulations may specify
a minimum age for users of this
type of gardening equipment.
Adherence to the instructions for
use enclosed by Brill is a precondi-
tion for the proper use of the
equipment. The instructions for
use also include the operating,
care and maintenance instructions.

The Brill lawn aerator packed in

implement from the packaging,
pull the Z-shaped, folded drag
links apart and tighten the cross-tie
tension handle in position
(Figure C Pos. 1)
Only move the implement at walk-
ing speed. Take special care
when turning the aerator around
or pulling it in your direction.
Bring the cutting tool to a halt if
it should be necessary to tilt the
implement for transportation across
surfaces other than grass and if the
aerator has to be moved from and
to the surfaces which are to be
worked on.
Never use the aerator with
damaged protective devices or
protective gratings or if protective
devices, e.g. impact plates and / or
grass collectors.
Remember that the user or opera-
tor is responsible for all accidents
that occur involving other people or
their property.
Keep these operating instructions in
a safe place.

your hands and feet out of the way
of the interior housing and grass
discharge.
Always wear closed footwear and
long trousers. Do not aerate when
barefoot or wearing light sandals.
