4. Notes on these Operating Instructions
Please carefully read the operat-

ing instructions and adhere to
the general and safety instructions
enclosed therein. Use this operat-
ing manual and the safety instruc-
tions in order to familiarise your-
self with the implement, the adjust-
ing parts and the correct use.

5. Proper Use

The Brill lawn aerator is designed
for working on lawns and grass-
land in private house and hobby
gardens and is not designed
for industrial use in public green
spaces, parks, sporting locations,
alongside roads and in the agri-
cultural and forestry sectors.

6. Assembly

Remove the appliance from the
packaging, fold the guide bars
apart and tighten the tension

7. Putting into operation

Before use, always carry out a
visual inspection in order to deter-
mine whether the cutting tools,
fixing bolts and the complete cut-
ting unit are worn or damaged.
A worn or damaged cutting tool
should always be replaced in order
to avoid an imbalance (see: Main-
tenance, Care and Storage).
Only aerate during daylight or
with good artificial lighting. The
use on wet grass is to be avoided
where possible. Always ensure

ing instructions to use this unit.
Local regulations may specify
a minimum age for users of this
type of gardening equipment.
Adherence to the instructions for
use enclosed by Brill is a precon-
dition for the proper use of the
equipment. The instructions for use
also include the operating, care
and maintenance instructions.
Warning! Due to a risk of

that the implement is well and
securely positioned on inclines.
Only move the implement at walk-
ing speed. Take special care
when turning the aerator around
or pulling it in your direction.
Bring the cutting tool to a halt if it
should be necessary to tilt the
implement for transportation across
surfaces other than grass and if
the aerator has to be moved from
and to the surfaces which are to
be worked on.
Remember that the user or opera-
tor is responsible for all accidents
that occur involving other people or
their property.
Keep these operating instructions
in a safe place.
