Pneumatic contacting
Actuation is achieved pneumatically by feeding compressed air to the stroke cylinder. The stop
position of the stroke mechanism is detected using an optionally available proximity switch. After
compressed air is switched off, the side approach mechanism moves back to its initial position.

Pneumatic drives must only be operated when the housing is fully closed.

Maintenance intervals
Annually
Check all moving parts for play, wear or other abnormalities; any defective parts must be
replaced.
All guide rails, etc. of moving parts must be kept greased and lubricated.
7.2)
Cleaning the side approach mechanism
Clean the side approach mechanism with a soft cloth and a mild detergent. Do not use cleaners
containing solvents or acids for cleaning.
