Replacing the cord spool

Be careful! Rotating cord
The trimmer is continuing to run!
z Before any work on the trimmer, discon-
nect the trimmer from the mains!
1. Press both locking tabs of spool cover simulta-
neously and remove
2. Remove cord spool
3. Clean, if necessary
4. Insert cord spool into housing

Faults and how to remedy

Problem Cause
• Spool is empty.
• The cutting cord is ripped out and
Tilt switch is not • The cutting cord has wrapped around
working.
• Line is torn and stuck inside spool.

In order to prevent accidental unwinding,
do not remove the cord ends of the new
cord spool from the slits before inserting

5. Place the spool cover on the cord spool holder
so that the two locking tabs lock into place

Before switching on: Hold trimmer paral-
lel to the ground; otherwise, there is dan-
ger of injury.
Remedy
• Fit new spool.
• Remove the cord spool; if necessary,
pull lightly off the spool and put the
spool back on.
• Remove spool, check tightness of
winding and replace spool in the usual
way.
