3. USE

Before using your Cuisinart® cordless electric kettle for the first
time, we recommend operating the kettle, without consuming
the water, or 3 times, following the instructions below. This will
remove dust remaining from the manufacturing process.
Instructions
1. Open the lid using the push-button.
. Fill the kettle with as much fresh, cold water as you will need.
The maximum water level is indicated outside the kettle and is
marked by the word "max" (see fig.1).
3. Close the lid of the kettle.
4. Place the kettle on its power base. Ensure that the element on
the bottom of the kettle fits securely on the power base.
5. Plug the power base to the mains.
6. Power the kettle on by pushing up the switch (see fig.). The
indicator light will illuminate to indicate that the boiling
process is on. When the water has boiled, the kettle will
automatically switch off. The switch goes back down and the
indicator light turns off.
Note: The kettle can be switched off at any time before the
water boils, simply by lifting the kettle off the base. The switch
goes back down and the appliance switches off.
Note: the kettle is provided with a boil dry safety cut out.
7. Pour and serve. Pour water out slowly. Return the kettle to the
base after pouring. If you wish to boil the water again, you
must lift up the switch to "on" position again.
