2.1 Designated use

The manual and automatic cutting torches in the PSB series are used in industry
and the trade exclusively for plasma cutting or gouging with compressed air
as the plasma and cooling gas. They consist of the torch neck with equipment
parts and wear parts, handle and cable assembly with direct connector or
central connector. They conform to EN 60974-7 and are not considered
devices that independently fulfil functions. For operation, a cutting power
source is required. The cutting torches must only be operated using original
ABICOR BINZEL spare parts.
This device fulfils the requirements of the valid EU directives.
The conformity is confirmed by the CE marking on the
device.
The attached safety instructions must be observed.
• The device described in these instructions may be used only for the
purpose and in the manner described in these instructions. In doing so,
observe the operating, maintenance and servicing conditions.
• Any other use is considered improper.
• Unauthorised modifications or changes to enhance the performance are
not permitted.
