1. Lower Fascia removal - Using a Phillips head screw driver, remove (5) screws located at bottom inside edge of lower fascia. Using a T30 Torx remove (3) screws
located at the bottom inside edge of the lower fascia. Using a plastic trim panel tool, gently remove the lower plastic fascia starting at the outer edges.

Remove lower bumper attachment - Using a 13mm socket remove the existing lower bumper attachment nut on the driver side only.
3. Install mounting plates– Place mounting plates (item 2) on top of bumper support as shown and install 4" carriage bolts (item 1) TIP: It is easier if the plate is
fed in from the center with the outer bolt already in the mounting plate.
4. Trim underbody panel and lower fascia – Using a tape measure, marker and tin snips, measure, mark, and trim the underbody panel. See Figure 2.

5. Fishwire spacer and bolt – Fishwire the spacer and 1.75" carriage bolt (items 5 and 6) through the access hole and into the attachment hole in the passenger
side frame rail, leave the fishwire attached.
Install hitch – Raise hitch into position over the bumper stud on the driver side and align the mounting plates and bolts installed earlier. Be sure to guide the

fishwire through the attachment hole on the passenger side. Install the conical washer (teeth side toward hitch) and hex nut on 1.75" carriage bolt. Install flanged
locknuts on all 4" carriage bolts. Reinstall existing M8 nut.
7. Tighten ½" flanged locknuts and M8 existing nut with torque wrench to 20Lb.-Ft. (27N*M)
and ½" hex nut on 1.75" carr. bolt to 75 Lb.-Ft. (127N*M)
8. Reinstall lower fascia – Reinstall the trimmed lower fascia removed in step 1.
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which
has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. This product complies with safety
specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5 and SAE J684.
