Armstrong S-Series Microcomputers
NOTE: This section deals with machines that have
the Armstrong S-series microcomputer only. When
power is supplied to the machine, an Armstrong
microcomputer will read "S 14".
Programming Mode
In the program mode, where the operator creates and
changes cycle programs, some display messages have
been changed. Refer to Table 3.

Starting in a Step/Segment
A cycle can be started in FIL1 through FIL8, rather
than at the beginning, as follows:
1. Close and lock door.
2. Press Stop (*) key with display showing "CYxx"
(xx = cycle number). Display shows "Adxx".
3. Press Up (arrow) key to choose desired step/
segment (FIL1 through FIL8) or function (such
as drain, "DrAI").
4. Press Start (#) key at desired step/segment.
NOTE: At any time before pressing Start (#) key,
press Stop (*) key to start over. Display shows
"CYxx".
Running a Cycle
The 4-digit LED displays information regarding the
cycle while it is running. The left digit shows the
"FIL" number (FIL1 through FIL8). The second digit
from left is blank. The two right digits stand for the
elapsed time in minutes, excluding fill time, drain
time, cool-down time and time to reach temperature if
heat step is programmed.
For example, a programmed cycle that has a two
minute FIL1 step, no spin, followed by a FIL7 step
with one minute spin would display "1 00" at the start
of the cycle. After reaching the programmed water
level and agitating for two minutes, "1 02" will be
displayed. The next step will read "7 03" and so on as
the cycle proceeds.
NOTE: You may still press the "UP" key to display
temperature and the "ENTER" key to display
current cycle number while a cycle is running.
