Xenarc X2010 Ford F-150 and Expedition HID
Upgrade Kits are complete headlamp systems.
Unlike "retrofit" or "adapter" packages that
replace some elements of an existing headlamp
system, the Xenarc X2010 Kits include ALL
components required to install a fully compliant,
long-life lighting system.
The X2010 Ford F-150 and Expedition HID
Upgrade Kit will fit several models of Ford vehicles:
Models Model Years
F-150 1998 to 2002*
Expedition 1998 to 2002
*Note: Model year 1997 Ford F-150s can also accept the Xenarc
X2010 Upgrade Kit, but further modifications are required to the
light retainer for this installation. See Appendix A for information.
Kit Contents and Functions
The Xenarc X2010 Ford F-150 and Expedition
HID Upgrade Kit comes with everything you
need to install and operate the lights on your
vehicle. The package contains:
• 2 Xenarc HID Headlamp Assemblies
(Left and Right)
• Wiring Harness
• Instructions for Installation and Use
The Xenarc X2010 Upgrade headlamps are
fully integrated to simplify installation. Each
headlamp includes the HID light source and
the state-of-the-art electronic ballast which
converts the 12 Volt DC power from the vehicle
to the higher voltage AC power necessary to
operate the light. Also included are the
halogen H9 high beam lamp and
performance-optimized optics.
Unpacking the Kit
Remove the Xenarc Ford F-150 HID Upgrade Kit
components from the packaging. Check that all
parts are present and intact.
Installation
Installing the Xenarc X2010 HID Upgrade Kit is
extremely simple and can be accomplished in a
matter of minutes using no special tools.
Make sure to turn the vehicle ignition OFF
before starting.
1 Turn vehicle ignition OFF.
2 Remove halogen lamp.
• Locate the retainer clips on the headlamp
carrier .

• Lift the pins partway up (about 3/4 inch) to
free up lamp assembly.
• Pull the halogen headlamp assembly forward
to gain access to the electrical connector.
