4.5 LOCAL PARAMETERS SETUP

4.5.1 LOCAL PARAMETERS SETUP ON A UVALVE / UVALVE+

Before the unit can operate, a few configuration steps for local parameters
must be accomplished:
1. Connect the power to the unit. It will appear briefly on the display the
current firmware installed and then the hose reel address is shown (by
default "001").
2. Press and hold F1 and F2 buttons until it is shown "SET" in the display.
3. The display shows the message "A" (address) followed by a number
that increases progressively from 001. This number is the hose reel
number linked to the unit. Once that the desired number is shown,
press briefly F2 button. NOTE: If it is needed to restart the hose reel
number to "001", press briefly F1 button.
4. Now the unit shows the message "EoL" (end of line), followed by "0" or
"1". This parameter allows indicating whether the unit is end of line in
the CAN BUS (1) or it is an intermediate unit (0). Change the adjustment
pressing the F1 button briefly and press F2 button to confirm.
NOTE: If the unit is configured as end of line, the end of line blue led
lights up in order to ease the identification of bus endings.

5. Having reached this point, the unit stores in its memory all the
parameters introduced and it is restarted with these new parameters.
NOTE: In the case that the unit is restarted before reaching this last step
(due to a power loss or whatever reason), the parameters introduced will
not be stored in the unit
If you are installing a UValve+ (Wi-Fi® enabled), the Wi-Fi® configuration
has to made. There are two options for this. With PC software and with
Android app.
WARNING: In all the cases, port 2503 in the modem has
to be open during the configuration process and the
normal UValve+ operation
In order to make an easier configuration, the Wi-Fi® module UValve+
MAC address is supplied with each UValve+. This will make the router
configuration easier to link it to a fixed IP.
In a PC with Wi-Fi ® connection, you need to open the available networks
and look for UValve 00X (being 00X the UValve number that needs to be
configurated). In the example UValve 25.
Disable the option Connect automatically and then press Connect. The
system will ask for a password. Enter 123456789
Once it is connected to the UValve+ you will see that a "C" appears on
the display.
WARNING: If there was an error in the process, UValve+ will
display "ERR" on display and restart automatically. In this case, try
to redo the entire process after reviewing the network parameters.
Once it is connected, the Wireless icon and the number of the UValve will
appear in the UValve display. It means that the UValve is connected and
ready to work.
