Types of work

WARNING
Damaged power cords are a safety hazard! If the supply cord or extension cord is damaged while work
is in progress, immediately disconnect the device and the cord from the electricity supply. Do not touch the
damaged part of the cord.
▶ Regularly check all supply cords. Replace defective extension cords. Have damaged power cords
replaced by a qualified specialist.
Use of a ground fault circuit interrupter (residual current device, RCD) with a maximum tripping current of
30 mA is recommended.
5.1
Starting breaker
1. Fully depress both the grip and the on/off switch at the same time.
▶ The breaker starts.
2. Keep the on/off switch depressed while work is in progress.
▶ In addition, you can control the performance of the machine by varying the extent to which the grip
is depressed.
If operation is paused for longer than 1 minute, the machine resets to its initial setting. To restart
the machine you have to fully depress both the grip and the on/off switch at the same time.
5.2
Chiseling
7
The chisel can be adjusted to 6 different positions (in 60° increments). This ensures that flat chisels
and shaped chisels can always be set to the optimum working position.
1. Plug the supply cord into the power outlet.
2. Bring the chisel into contact with the workpiece about 80 -100 mm (3¹⁄₈" - 4") from its edge.
3. Fully depress both the grip and the on/off switch.
4. Start with the chisel held at an angle of 90 ° to the concrete surface and face the chisel toward the edge
of the workpiece. Then change the angle to 70 ° to 80 ° and chisel the material away.
▶ When working close to reinforcing bars, always guide the tip of the chisel toward the edge of the
workpiece, not toward a reinforcing bar.
Working at low temperatures:
The hammering mechanism works only when the power tool has reached a minimum operating
temperature. Bring the chisel into contact with the workpiece and allow the power tool to run
under no load until the required temperature is reached. If necessary, repeat this procedure until
the hammering mechanism begins to operate.
5.3
Removing the accessory tool
WARNING
Risk of injury! The accessory tool gets hot during use and may also have sharp edges.
▶ Wear protective gloves when changing the tool.
1. Unplug the supply cord from the power outlet.
2. Pull the accessory tool retaining bar back as far as it will go.
3. Remove the accessory tool.
4.
ATTENTION: Do not lay the hot accessory tool down on highly inflammable materials.
