2.0 PRECAUTIONS
- Install the sensor on a hard surface, not subject to vibrations, at a height
of between 2 and 2.2 mt, using the typical detection diagrams as
reference, so that the infrared detects movements occuring within the
protected zone, and the microwave module detects those approaching
the sensor. Avoid placing the sensor close to sources of heat or in direct
sunlight.
- Do not let the MW zone's electromagnetic energy be reflected on wide
surfaces such as mirrors, metal walls, etc.
- Avoid pointing the sensor toward fluorescent lamps and placing it close
to these (the Environmental Test function, described below, could be
helpful for this purpose).
- Avoid the presence of blind zones created by furniture, shelves, etc. in
which the burglar could move, inside the protected area.
- Keep animals out of the protected area.
- For connections, it is advisable to use shielded wire, preferably one wire
for each sensor.
- Keep the system's power supply cables as far as possible from the mains
cable. Adjust microwave sensitivity so that the detection lobe is within
the area to be protected. Do not touch the pyroelectric's specular surface
with one's fingers. Do not install the sensor outside and do not allow
dust to settle on its surface.
- The antimasking protection is set in factory on each detector; so it is very
important not to change the covers when are used more detectors at the
same time
- If the sensor is installed at a height greater than 2.2 meters, you are
recommended to use the optional joint; slant the sensor so as to
best adapt the fields of coverage as needed.
In case of using interface modules (mod. Elkron UR1Z) they must be
installed obligatorily in the outside of the detector wrap.
NOTE: the UR1Z module can be lodged inside the optionalSP900 ball
joint bracket
