6. Rotate the Cartridge
IMPORTANT! These steps are required for bath, or bath and shower
installations. This step is not required for shower only installations.
IMPORTANT! The hot side of the cartridge must be aligned with
the hot inlet pipe.
NOTE: These installation steps are not required if you performed
the steps in "Reversed Inlet Supplies" section.
Note the alignment of the temperature adapter. It can only be
installed with the retaining tabs aligned horizontally.
Use a screwdriver to flex the retaining tabs on the temperature
adapter outward. Remove the temperature adapter.
Note the alignment of the knobs on the stem adapter. It must be
reinstalled in the same position.
Thread the head nut counterclockwise and remove the cartridge.
Rotate the cartridge 180°. The hot side of the valve is marked
with an "H." Make sure the "H" is aligned with the hot inlet.
