TROUBLESHOOTING
Check incoming power. The ON/OFF rocker switch should be lit.
Check power supply line. Measured line voltage should correspond to the voltage
listed on the model/serial number label.
Check the speed control potentiometer.
Check the voltage from DC drive board. The voltage is DC and will vary with the
speed potentiometer setting. If there isn't output voltage, replace the board.
Check output to the gear motor. If there is power to the motor, but it does not run,
replace the gear motor.
Check for a broken or loose drive chain. Remove the cover near the exit end of the
left side conveyor frame.
Check for a loose chain sprocket.
Check the conveyor belt. It may be slipping on the drive roller.
Check the gear motor.
Check tension roller on assembly (belt will track to tighter side). Be careful not to
over-tighten.
Check for worn belt.
Check the condition of the belt guides. The belt guides should just touch both sides
of the belt.
Check for bad heat element or bad connection on the heat element. Usually the
heat element light will stay on in this condition.
Check the thermostat. It is an actual thermostat, not a potentiometer. The heat
element light should respond as the temperature knob is turned past the actual
temperature. Usually the heat element light will not come on if the contactor is bad.
Check the toggle switch.
Check for debris stuck against the blower guard at the top of the heat chamber.
Check that the measured power supply voltage matches the voltage listed on the
model/serial number tag.
Check for air leaks, particularly around the blower housing.
Check the condition of the curtains.

CAUTION! Unless a procedure specifically
requires that the machine be on for testing, it
should be turned off and completely cooled
down before any service is performed.
Disconnect it from electrical power, following
OSHA recommended lockout/tagout
procedures.
