Storage
Disconnect the device from the mains power when it is not going to be used for a prolonged
period. Clean the device again if necessary (see the "Cleaning and Care" chapter) and let it dry
completely.
Store the device and all accessories in a dry, clean, frost-free place that is protected from direct
sunlight and cannot be accessed by children or animals.
Troubleshooting
If the device does not work properly, fi rst check whether you are able to rectify the problem your-
self. If the problem cannot be solved with the steps that are listed, contact the customer service
department.
Do not attempt to repair a defective electrical device yourself!
Problem
The control panel (3)
does not light up /
the device cannot be
switched on.
The fuse in the fuse
box is triggered.
Water runs out of
the device.
A function has
been selected, but
the device beeps
constantly and the
red control lamp (18)
fl ashes. The control
panel does not light
up.

Possible cause
The mains plug is not inserted
correctly in the plug socket.
The plug socket is defective.
There is no mains voltage.
The control panel lighting is
defective.
Too many devices connected
to the same circuit.
There is too much water in
the water tank (2).
The water tank is not placed in
its mount correctly.
There is no water in the water
tank.
Fix
Plug the mains plug into the
plug socket.
Try another plug socket.
Check the fuse of the mains
connection.
Contact the customer service
department.
Reduce the number of devices
in the circuit.
Do not overfi ll the water tank!
Correct the fi t of the water
tank.
Detach the water tank from
the device and fi ll it with water.
Place a cup beneath the coffee
outlet (14).
Press any button. Some water
will run through the water
system into the cup. The device
will stop
beeping,
the red
control lamp goes out and can
be restarted.
