CUTTING TECHNIQUE - BLADE
WARNING
The blades are very sharp and can injure even if they
are not moving. Exercise extreme caution when using
the blade with the product. Safe operation of this tool
requires that you read and understand this operator's
manual and all labels affi xed to the tool.
■ Both hands must be used at all times to control this
product. Keep a firm grip with both hands while in
operation.
■ Maintain your grip and balance on both feet. Position
yourself so that you will not be drawn off balance by
the kick-back reaction of the cutting blade.
■ Inspect and clear the area of any hidden objects such
as glass, stones, concrete, fencing, wire, wood, metal,
etc.
■ Never use blades near footpaths, fencing, posts,
buildings or other immovable objects.
■ Never use a blade after hitting a hard object without
first inspecting it for damage. Do not use if any
damage is detected.
■ For cutting ease and safety, approach the weeds
being cut from the right to the left.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING
Note that the blade nut is a Nylon locking nut, which is
to be used for one time assembly only. Do not reuse
the Nylon locking nut. When installing/reinstalling, use
a new Nylon locking nut. Failure to follow this procedure
can result in serious injury.
WARNING
The cutting attachment must not rotate in idle mode.
if this requirement is not satisfi ed, the clutch has to be
adjusted or the product needs an urgent maintenance
by a qualifi ed technician.
WARNING
Use only original manufacturer's replacement parts,
accessories, and attachments. Failure to do so can
cause possible injury, poor performance, and may void
your warranty.

Make sure that the nut torque is ≥ 25 Nm when
assembling the blade. Failure to follow this procedure
can result in serious injury. (RBC430SESD-See fi gure

■ Always stop the engine and allow it to cool before
making any maintenance.
■ You may make adjustments and repairs described
here. For other repairs, contact the authorised service
agent.
■ Consequences
include excess carbon deposits resulting in loss of
performance and discharge of black lubricant residue
dripping from the silencer.
■ For replacement line, use only nylon filament line of
the diameter described in the specification table of this
manual.
■ After extending the new cutter line, always return the
product to its normal operation position before starting.
■ After each use, clean the product with a soft, dry cloth.
■ Check all nuts, bolts, and screws at frequent intervals
for proper tightness to ensure the product is in safe
working condition. Any part that is damaged should be
properly repaired or replaced by an authorised service
centre.
