The maximum recording time of an SxS media for recording
multiple clips is improved.

Note
When using the simultaneous recording function, use memory
cards that are identical in type and size.
SDXC card support
You can record and play back SDXC cards using the optional
MEAD-SD02 media adapter.
SDXC cards can be used in exFAT mode only.
SDXC cards (SD speed class: Class 10)
Notes
Format SDXC cards for use with this unit using the format
function of this unit.
High-speed playback may not be properly achieved with an
SDXC card.
Do not use SDXC cards with other memory cards at the same
time. If different types of media are used, media cannot be
switched during recording when one media becomes full.
Recording in XAVC-I may not be supported, depending on the
SDXC cards used. The use of SxS PRO and SxS PRO+ series
memory cards is recommended.
About SDXC card compatibility
SDXC cards recorded using PMW-series or PXW-series
camcorders are supported for playback on the unit. However,
recording and clip details display on the thumbnail screen may
not be supported, depending on the device. For details, contact
a Sony sales or service representative.
Added status display for Wi-Fi remote controller
Display of the [OTHERS] >[Wi-Fi] >[Wi-Fi Remote] setting in the
setup menu has been added to the button/remote status screen.

The following status can now be displayed on the viewfinder
screen when connected to the optional CBK-WA100 wireless
adapter.

Partial transfer of an original file recorded on a camcorder
You can transfer a cutout part of a file by specifying In and Out
points in the original file recorded by a camcorder. You can also
transfer the cutout parts of multiple files using the Storyboard.
The following devices and applications are required.
CBK-WA100 wireless adapter (not supplied) (attached to the
unit)
"Content Browser Mobile" application (used on device
connected to the unit by wireless LAN connection)
Use the latest the version of the "Content Browser Mobile"
application.
The following media is required in order to transfer files.
Media containing the original files recorded on a camcorder
(attached to the unit)
SD card (inserted in the CBK-WA100) containing the proxy files
(low resolution) recorded in sync with the original files and
having the same name
The unit supports original files and proxy files (low resolution)
recorded on PMW/PXW-series camcorders (excluding the
PXW-X70)
The following original file formats are supported.
exFAT/HD mode

XAVC-L50, L35, L25
MPEG2 HD422
MPEG2 HD420HQ
UDF/HD mode
MPEG2 HD422

The following operations are not supported during partial
transfer of original files.

Simultaneous recording to both slots
Simultaneous recording to both SxS slots is now supported.
You can enable/disable this function in [VIDEO SET] menu >
[Simul Rec].
Notes
The simultaneous recording function can only be used for the
following formats in exFAT/HD mode.
XAVC-I
XAVC-L50
XAVC-L35
XAVC-L25
When using the simultaneous recording function, use memory
cards that are identical in type and size.
Only one of the simultaneous recording, clip continuous
recording, and loop recording functions can be used at a time.
The IFU-WLM3 USB Wireless LAN Module cannot be used
during simultaneous recording.
Additional languages for menu and message displays
The [Spanish], [Portuguese], [Russian], and [Indonesian] options
have been added to the [OTHERS] menu > [Language] setting,
allowing display in the respective languages.

Video Format
3G SDI input/output supports Level-A.
Level A/Level B is automatically determined for inputs.
You can select between Level-A and Level-B in [VIDEO SET]
menu > [3G SDI OUT Level A/Level B] for outputs.
