90° CUTTING ANGLE CHECK (FIG. 4)
1. Disconnect the plug from the power source.
2. Set the foot to the 0° angle-of-attack
setting.
3. Loosen the bevel-adjustment lever.
4. Loosen the anti-splinter adjustment lever
and move anti-splinter plate away from
guide bar.
5. Set the bevel indicator to 0° on the quadrant,
retighten the lever and check for 90°angle
between the guide bar and bottom plane of
the foot with a square.
6. Adjust by turning the small alignment set
screw from the bottom side of the foot plate
with an Allen Wrench, if necessary (Fig. 4).

1. Disconnect the plug from the power
source. Set the foot to 0° angle of attack.
2. Loosen the angle-of-attack adjustment lever.
3. Use a square to check for a 90° angle
between the top 3" of the saw chain and
the bottom plane of the foot.
4. Adjust by turning the small alignment screw
from the bottom back of the foot under the
motor housing with an Allen Wrench, if
necessary (Fig. 5).
5. Retighten the angle-of-attack lever.
LINE GUIDE (FIG. 6)
Align your cutting line with the cutting-guide
notch for an approximate line of cut. For a 0°
cut, use the large notch in the foot. For 45°
bevel cuts, use the small notch.
Make sample cuts in scrap lumber to verify
the actual line of cut. Always view the saw
chain while guiding the saw through the line of
cut. View the saw chain and cut line through
the viewing aperture.
