SPINDLE SPEED ADJUSTMENT
● When the switch (6) is set to the position 'I' , you can change the spindle speed by selecting appropriate
number shown on the display (7) (ranging from 8 to 35) (fig. M).
●
You can change rotational speed by pressing buttons „
●
Press the button „
+" to increase the speed.
●
Press the button „
-" to decrease the speed.
To achieve the best results when working on different materials, set the rotational speed of the minigrinder
spindle according to the task at hand. To choose the correct rotational speed, it is recommended to make
some tests using needless material pieces.
RECOMMENDED SPEEDS FOR OPERATION OF THE MINIGRINDER
The speed depends on variations of the current voltage. If the power supply voltage drops,
the rotational speed of the spindle will drop as well, especially when it is set to a low value. The
minigrinder might not start on the lowest speed setting, when the supply voltage is lower than 230
V. To start the operation, set a higher rotational speed.
Operation with a low rotational speed (15,000 min
accessories made of felt, for delicate processing of wood and fragile model parts. All brushing works
require lower rotational speeds to avoid pulling wires off of the brush holders. Apply the rule to
proceed with the work with the lowest speed reasonable for a working tool and workpiece.
Higher rotational speeds are better for drilling, shaping, cutting, profiling, making grooves for keys,
shape machining in wood. Hard wood, metals and glass also require higher settings of the spindle
rotational speed.
Individual settings on the display provide following spindle rotational speeds:
Some materials, such as certain plastics and metals may be damaged due to heat produced during
high speed processing. They have to be processed with appropriately lower speeds. Always use
goggles or impact glasses when operating the minigrinder. Failure to follow this recommendation
may cause serious body injuries (especially eyes), when small particles of a workpiece or working
tool elements, such as pieces of wire brushes, are projected by the working power tool.
Before any adjustment, maintenance or repair works are commenced, disconnect the tool from the mains.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
● It is recommended to clean the tool after each use.
●
Do not use water or other fluids for cleaning.
●
The tool should be cleaned with a dry piece of cloth or blown with compressed air of low pressure.
●
Do not use any cleaning agents or solvents, since they may damage plastic parts.
●
Venting slots in the motor housing should be cleaned on a regular basis not to overload the tool.
●
When the power cord is damaged, it should be replaced with the power cord of the same parameters.
It should be performed by a qualified professional or the tool should be delivered to an authorised
service shop.
●
When the commutator sparks excessively, have the condition of motor carbon brushes checked by a
qualified person.
●
The tool should be always stored in a dry place and out of reach of children.
