Switch on the sander and wait until the working disc reaches the maximum speed.
Apply the entire surface of the working disc to the sanded surface (the moving cover of the working
disc will automatically fit tightly to the surface).
Putting a moderate pressure, move the sander on the sanded surface making circular movements or
alternately crosswise and lengthwise.
An excessive pressure does not increase the sanding efficiency, but may cause an early wear of the
sander components and sanding paper.
When the working disc is moved away from the sanded surface, it will cause dust to escape outside the
device and into the room, in which the work is carried out.
The efficiency and quality of the sanded surfaces depends to a large extent on a sanding paper used
and pressure applied. A type of sanding paper is best selected by trial and error method.
When the sanding is being completed, lower the pressure and switch off the motor.
Sanding paper should be replaced, when you notice it is worn.
Make periodical breaks in operation.
Do not switch on the sander, if the working disc leans against the sanded surfaces.
EMPTYING THE DUST BAG
When the dust bag becomes full, the suction force is reduced.
To empty the dust bag, slide out the strip in the lower bag section and remove its content (plaster
dust).
When the dust bag is empty, slide the strip back into the guide to cover the entire hole.
Before any adjustment, maintenance or repair works are commenced, disconnect the tool from the
mains.
The sander should be always kept clean.
Do not use water or other fluids for cleaning.
The sander should cleaned with a brush.
Venting slots should be cleaned on a regular basis not to overload the sander motor.
When the commutator sparks excessively, check the condition of motor carbon brushes.
The sander should be stored in a dry place and out of reach of children.
REPLACING THE WORKING DISC
A worn or damaged working disc should be immediately replaced.
Loosen the clamping screw of the working disc (10) (fig. I).
Replace the working disc with a new one and fasten with the screw.
REPLACING THE CARBON BRUSHES
Worn (shorter than 5 mm), burnt or broken motor carbon brushes should be immediately replaced. Both
carbon brushes should be always replaced at the same time.
Loosen the covers of the carbon brushes (2).
Remove the worn carbon brushes.
Remove any carbon dust using compressed air of a lower pressure.
Insert new carbon brushes (brushes should easily slide into the brush holders).
Fasten the covers of the carbon brushes (2).
After the carbon brushes are replaced, switch on the sander without any load for approximately 3
minutes to make the carbon brushes fit the motor commutator. Carbon brushes should be replaced
by a qualified person using original spare parts only.
All types of faults and defects should be eliminated by an authorised service of the manufacturer.
