is not dispensed if the temperature is too low or too high. The correct temperature is indicated by warning light
(21), which remains lit.
Protection against Coffee Bean Impurities
Even the most carefully selected coffee beans may contain detritus such as small stones or impurities. If one of
these reaches the grinder, this will automatically stop and the warning light goes on (19).
IMPORTANT: in order to not risk damaging the motor, do not reactivate the machine until you have removed the
foreign body. Refer to an Authorized Assistance Centre in order to carry out this operation.
If after a certain amount of use the coffee output is too slow or non-existent, this may be caused by using coffee
that is too fatty. It will be necessary to open the door and clean the filter of the internal brewer again, using a
small brush as shown in Fig. 12 or, in order to better get to the filter (Fig. 13), extract the entire brewer unit and
clean the filter as illustrated in Fig. 14.
Electronic Operating Cycle Control
If the machine is unable to complete the whole coffee or automatic washing cycle, the warning light (19) will light
up in order to indicate the presence of an internal fault or an obstacle that prevents the coffee brewer unit from
functioning (such as the presence of a foreign body). Switch the machine off by pressing button (22) and check
the situation inside the service compartment (12) in order to resolve any visible problems (also see "CLEANING"
paragraph). If the warning light (19) continues to indicate the presence of a fault after switching the machine back
on, refer to an Authorized Assistance Centre.
Cleaning Cycle
Whenever it may be wished to have only one cleaning cycle completed, keep the vapour selection button (26)
pressed for about 6 seconds until the temperature control light (21) starts blinking. Release the button and wait
until the machine completes the cleaning cycle expelling hot water from the nozzle (4).
It is strictly forbidden to dismantle the appliance or tamper with it in any way.
Keeping the appliance clean and in good working order will guarantee excellent coffee quality and a longer
working lifetime.
•
Before cleaning the machine, switch the appliance off by pressing button (22) and unplug it from the
electric socket.
•
Wait for the machine to cool down before cleaning it.
•
Do not immerse the machine in water or other liquids.
•
Do not wash any machine components in the dishwasher.
•
Always dry the machine components by hand, without placing them in the oven or the microwave.
In order to keep the service compartment and the coffee brewer unit group clean, we recommend emptying the
coffee grounds collection tray (1) and the drip tray (2) every day. After having removed the latter in order to empty
them, we recommend cleaning the inside of the compartment in order to remove any ground coffee residue, using
a vacuum cleaner nozzle. To put the coffee grounds collection tray back in correctly, press the lower end until
you hear a click Fig. 15.
If the control light is on after the on/off switch has been pressed, check that the door is properly closed and that
the coffee grounds collection tray is inserted correctly.
The water reservoir (7), the drip tray (2), the cup grille (3) and the coffee grounds collection tray (1) must be
washed from time to time with non-abrasive detergent and then carefully dried.
Clean the outside of the machine with a damp cloth from time to time and then dry carefully.
