Symptom
Engine does not start.
Poor powerpack performance.
Engine speed does not idle when tool not
operating.
Tool runs hot.
Unable to connect hoses or tools.
Oil foams out of breather.
Any unauthorized use or copying of the contents or any part thereof is prohibited. This applies in particular to trademarks, model
denominations, part numbers and drawings.

Possible
No fuel.
Fuel On/Off switch OFF.
Rotary switch OFF.
Low engine oil.
Choke incorrectly set for engine
temperature.
Spark plug fouled or wet.
Loose or broken plug lead.
Ignition fault.
By-pass valve in ON position.
Power pack output incorrect.
Low relief valve setting.
Poor engine speed adjustment.
Sticking or damaged POD ram.
Damaged hoses or couplers.
Blocked suction strainer.
Worn or damaged hydraulic pump.
Relief valve worn.
Faulty tool.
Broken POD ram return spring.
High system back pressure caused by
hoses over 8 m or damaged hoses or
couplers.
Unit not fully warmed up.
Blocked cooler air intake.
Poor powerpack ventilation.
High back pressure.
Damage to cooler fan.
Low relief valve setting.
Pressure lock in system.
Connector damaged.
Leak of air into suction circuit, tank, cooler
or pump.
Fault Remedy
Fill tank.
Turn ON.
Turn ON.
Replenish engine sump.
If cold set fully ON. If warm set ON.
Clean plug.
Refit or renew, check for spark at plug.
Check.
Turn valve to OFF.
Check powerpack output with flow and
pressure tester.
Check calibration.
Check calibration.
Repair or replace.
Replace.
Remove and clean.
Repair or replace.
Replace.
Consult tool handbook.
Fit new spring.
Check system.
Allow to warm up (operate tool
continuously).
Clear intake.
Re-site powerpack.
Check system.
Check for blade damage.
Reset or replace.
Connect return line first, vent system
using control valve mid position, vent
pressure from hose by unscrewing
connector.
Replace connector.
Tighten fittings, check cooler for damage.
