Windows XP
Under Microsoft Windows XP you can configure the C54WMP through WCN as follows
Click 'Start', 'My Network Places'. The Network Neighbourhood will be shown.
Select the option 'Set up a wireless network...' at the left side of the window.
The Wireless Network Setup Wizard will be shown. Click 'Next' to continue.
Enter the name of your wireless network (SSID) and select the option 'Manually assign a network
key'.
Note:
If your network is encrypted with WPA encryption, check the checkbox on the bottom of the
window. If your network is encrypted with WEP encryption, leave the checkbox unchecked.
Click 'Next' to continue.
Enter the encryption key for your network in both fields shown on your screen. To make entering the
key easier, you can uncheck the option 'Hide characters...' so you can see what you enter.
Click 'Next' to continue.
Select the option 'Use a USB flash drive'. Click 'Next' to continue.
Connect the USB flash drive to your computer and select the corresponding drive letter. Click 'Next'
to continue. When the configuration is saved, you can remove the USB flash drive.
Note:
Don't close the wizard on your computer!
Turn on the C54WMP and go to 'Setup', 'Wireless Setup'.
Insert the USB flash drive in the USB port of the C54WMP. The C54WMP will auto detect the available
WCN configuration files and will ask you if you want to apply the settings. Please confirm. The
settings will be saved to the configuration. Remove the USB flash drive.
The correct settings are now used. We suggest you to restart the device to make sure the correct
wireless settings are used.
Re-insert the USB flash drive in your computer and click 'Next'. You will see a list of configured
devices. You can print your network settings with the button 'Print Network Settings'.
Click 'Finish' to close the Wireless Network Setup Wizard.
Note:
By default, the WCN settings will be removed from the USB flash drive when you click
'Finish'. If you want to configure more devices/computers in your network, you can
uncheck this box and keep the settings on the USB flash drive, but it is recommended to
remove the settings.
