The medical scales and measuring stations from seca
are mainly used in hospitals, doctors' surgeries and
inpatient care facilities in accordance with national reg-
ulations.
The devices are used for conventional weight and size
determination, determination of the general nutritional
status, and help the treating physician to make a diag-
nosis or treatment decision.
In order to make a precise diagnosis, besides determi-
nation of the weight, further targeted examinations
must be set up by the physician, and their results must
be considered.
Weight measurement with electric scales is done via 1
or 4 load cells dependent on the model; mechanical
scales use a load lever system.
Dependent on the model, the following functions may
be available on your scales:
: Permanent display of the measurement result
hold
after the load has been removed from the scales.
: Taring of additional weight, e.g. of a towel for
tare
the current weighing process.
: Permanent storage of a weight (e.g. blanket
pretare
weight for clothing), which is deducted automatically
in each weighing process
: Weight of a child can be determined with an
2 in 1
adult standing on the scales with the child.
