05. Battery replacement
Battery replacement is necessary if the display on the LCD
display 1 becomes faint.
1. Carefully open the battery compartment lid 6 on the
back of the measuring instrument by loosening the
screw 5 on the battery compartment lid 6 with a
screwdriver.
2. Now remove the battery compartment lid 6 and replace
the spent batteries with two new 1.5 V batteries. Ob-
serve the polarities as shown inside the battery com-
partment.
3. Now close the battery compartment again and tighten
the screw 5 on the battery compartment lid 6.

Clean the device with a moist, soft, lint-free cloth. Take
care that no moisture enters the housing. Do not use
sprays, solvents, cleaning agents containing alcohol or
scouring agents; use only clean water to moisten the
cloth.
