02 . PrEPArAtOry MEASurES

Power supply

Press the
key to check the battery charging
status . The display remains grey: the battery is not
inserted or the charge is so low that the LCD does
not turn on .
Symbol:
The measuring instrument switches off after approx. 1
second . the battery must be replaced . Incorrect measu-
rements can result if the battery voltage is too low .

Battery replacement

1. Remove the screws from the battery compartment lid
with a Philips screwdriver .
2 . Remove the lid from the battery compartment .
3 . Remove the spent battery .
4 . Insert a new battery .
5 . Close the lid and cover and replace the screws .
Ensure that the polarity is correct when inserting
the battery!

03 . MENu SyStEM ANd BASIC SEttINgS

Menu system

Press the on/off button
or off . The measuring instrument is in operating mode .
Press the red button to access the menu and then the
following menu settings .
It is recommended that you familiarise yourself
with the menu settings before using the appliance
for the first time in order to obtain the maximum
benefit and to avoid errors later on .
Press the blue button to return to the previous
menu item . Press the qor the p button in or-
der to select individual menu items .
